This page explains how to request deletion of your FitCentral account and associated data. We comply with the Google Play and Apple App Store account deletion requirements, and with applicable privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA.
1. Who Can Request Deletion
Any FitCentral user can request deletion of their account. This includes both coach accounts and client accounts. If you are a client whose account is managed by your coach, you can still submit a deletion request directly to us.
2. How to Request Deletion
Send an email from the address associated with your FitCentral account to hello@fitcentral.co with the subject line "Delete my account."
In the body of the email, include:
Your full name
The email address associated with your FitCentral account
Confirmation that you want your account and associated data permanently deleted
If you cannot send the request from the email address on file, we will ask you to verify your identity before processing.
3. What Gets Deleted
When we process your deletion request, we permanently delete:
Your account profile and login credentials
Personal information including name, email, phone number, address, and date of birth
Health and fitness data including workouts, habit logs, body measurements, progress photos, and check ins
Messages with your coach
Payment method on file
Device tokens and push notification preferences
Uploaded files, photos, and videos
4. What We Retain and Why
We retain a limited set of data after account deletion for legitimate business and legal reasons:
Transaction records and invoices, retained for up to seven years to comply with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements
Aggregated and anonymized analytics that cannot be used to identify you
Records required for fraud prevention, security investigations, or legal disputes that arose before your account was deleted
Retained data is stored securely and is not used for any other purpose.
5. Timeline
We will confirm receipt of your deletion request within two business days. Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted from our active systems within thirty days of confirmation. Residual data in encrypted backups is cleared within ninety days through our standard backup rotation cycle.
